Positive

I think there are two faces of positivity; a bad positive and a good positive.

  1. Bad Positive

Aren’t we all tired of the constant force everyone gives to stay positive? “You can do it” seem too clichéd and overrated. Going through 19 years of life, my best attitude towards challenges is admitting that life sometimes is crappy. To not admit you’re hurting, will hurt you. Why would you add another pain to your painful self? Seriously.

After all, trying to be positive is an effort to do bad, more than it does good. Do you know why? It’s because you try so hard to be positive even though you know things are bad. You are pressing all your negativity into your subconscious, and not really trying to deal with it. You’re hiding, not dealing. Battle of the mind, a battle of the mind. You feel frustrated and rude with yourself, and the difference between your ideal self and the real you is too contrast for you to handle.

Make peace with yourself. Is it right?

2. Good Positive

I guess we all just need to be pushed over the edge of the cliff to see how far we can get past it. You will be pushed aside so that you realize that you have to make peace with yourself. This means situations exist to mold and shape you according to your destiny. It is a positive me, but for me, this kind of positivity is a good positive. Why did you say? Because it is the result of me making peace with myself. Thus, positivity is not the content, but the motive that underlies it. On a side note, coming to terms with yourself isn’t a yes / no situation. This is a position-between-two-points-extreme kind of situation.

Pure positivity radiates without you pushing it. It takes time, it takes time. You need that moment of solitude to put every experience and failure that has spread together. Not just anyone can do it at any time. Perfect situations aren’t perfect in imperfect times. The right timing isn’t perfect in imperfect situations. But, why? Should we all be perfect to progress when progress is itself about attaining perfection?

If the suffering is not so strong, the insights will become less profound.”

Take good care,

Carry On.
